Thank you and a BIG WELCOME ABOARD to these Red Wing Bed and Breakfasts and The Saint James Hotel. All are now offering getaway packages with sightseeing cruises on the SIGHT-SEA-ER II. For example, at the Moondance Inn, stay any two weekday nights, Sunday through Thursday at the regular rate, and receive a free Mississippi River Sightseeing Excursion for two. Third party gift cards not accepted. Call 866-388-8145 for reservations.
Cruises run from mid-April through October. Boarding starts 15 minutes before departure. Captain Mathiasmeier does the narration while piloting the Sight-Sea-ER II and there is one other crew member aboard. Additonal information below.
Daily Sightseeing Excursions - Call for reservations
90-minute cruises Monday-Friday at 1:00 pm, weather permitting
Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, weather permitting.
We require a minimum of fifteen adult passengers per cruise. Times are subject to change.
Lock and Dam Cruise
This 2 1/2 hour cruise runs on select Saturdays at 10:00 am and on request. Currently scheduled cruises will be listed on the home page, or call for details. Departing from the Levee Road landing in Red Wing, we go up through lock and dam #3 and back to the landing. Minimum of twenty passengers required.
Please Note:
- Captain Mathiasmeier does the narration while piloting the Sight-Sea-ER II and he has one other crew member.
- Tickets can be purchased on the boat.
- Any of the tours above are also available as private charters.
- Adult passengers will be given binoculars to use when on board, to observe the eagles and to look closely for other wildlife they might encounter during their ride.
- There is a limit of 1 child under four free per adult.
- Children under four are counted in our passenger limit, so please include them when you call to make a reservation.
- Don't forget to bring your camera.
- The boat is heated, but always dress for the weather. It is open on both ends for wildlife and scenery viewing.
- Alcohol is allowed only on charters.
- Sight-Sea-ER II is entirely smoke-free.
- There is a restroom on board.
- Non-alcoholic beverages and snacks are available for purchase for $1 or less. Please, no outside food and beverages.
- Life jackets are available for both adults and children.
